Stage musicals, though, nothing I've seen (and I've seen about ten shows) comes close to being as good as Les Misérables. If you get the chance to see it, you have to.|||My faves are:

5. phantom of the opera|||RENT|||Rent by a long shot--the music is so raw and passionate. You can totally relate to the characters and some of their problems. It's very realistic, and evokes a lot of differnet emotions. While there is a lot of sadness, there is also good humour and some very important moral themes. You feel like you know the characters, and then you wish you did. The music is beautiful, too--has many evocative lyrics, great melodic patterns, a lot of structure, and really great harmonies. Unlike Phantom of the Opera (don't get me wrong, I love that one too) you can actually go around singing this. Minus the dirty parts.|||"Little Shop of Horrors" with Steve Martin and Rick Moranis.
Heres some additional Steve Martin Trivia. He's actually been in THREE musicals: One was "Little Shop", one was "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".... what was the other one?
